Abstract

With EDFA-only amplification, we successfully demonstrate the transmission of a 4-QAM, 117-Gb/s (100 Gb/s without overhead) DDO-OFDM super-channel over 1200-km SSMF with only 1-dB OSNR penalty. We also discuss the impact of PMD on the transmission link.
