Abstract

400-Gbit/s coherent PDM-OFDM transmission over 80 km has been successfully demonstrated in 50-GHz frequency grid. The use of multiband OFDM with 32-QAM subcarrier modulation enables to increase a spectral efficiency to 8.0 bit/s/Hz at 400 Gbit/s.
