400-Gbps Space Division Multiplexing Optical Wireless Communication Using Two-Dimensional Photodetector Array

    Abstract

    We demonstrate 400-Gbps multi-core fiber based optical wireless communication using a newly developed two-dimensional photodetector array (2D-PDA). The 19-parallel beam from 19-core fiber can be successfully coupled with a 19-pixel 2D-PDA in free space.
