40Gbit/s x 25WDM Unrepeatered Transmission over 362km

Abstract

40Gbit/s-based unrepeaterd WDM transmission over 362km has been demonstrated for the first time. The obtained BER was better than 1 x 10-9 for all the 25 channels despite the highly dispersive transmission line (~8000ps/nm).
