80-Gb/s optical MSK generation using a monolithically integrated quad-Mach-Zehnder IQ modulator

Abstract

An optical MSK transmitter was experimentally demonstrated using a single monolithically integrated high-speed quad-MZ IQ modulator. An 80-Gb/s binary MSK with compact spectrum was generated using the proposed transmitter with electronics designed for 40-Gb/s systems.
