    Abstract

In this paper, we propose a method for designing a load frequency control using the PID controller when a large amount of wind power generations are introduced in the power system, and try to cancel the influence of the disturbance. We determine the PID gains via the Parameter Space Designing Method and Quasi Pole Placement Method. As an example, we design a case for a two-area system, and carry out simulations to compare the proposed methods with the conventional method. As a result, we can confirm the validity of the proposed methods.
