    Abstract

Information technology can be classified into three categories; physical signal processing, semantic symbol processing and Kansei (emotional) information processing. The technology for art and human communication belongs to the last one. The article describes some considerations on Kansei as the third target of information processing and introduces the author's activities on an advanced human-machine interface and a humanoid robot for Kansei communication.
