All-optical modulation format conversion from frequency-shift-keying to phase-shift-keying by using optical double-sideband modulation technique

Abstract

We propose a novel optical modulation format conversion technique using doublesideband suppressed-carrier modulation. An optical 10 Gbps frequency-shift-keying signal was directly converted into a phase-shift-keying signal.
