Abstract
Foot diseases, such as flatfoot and hallux valgus, change alignment in standing position. Therefore, it is generally evaluated by X-ray images taken in standing position. Because the transformation occurs in 3D by loading, it is ideal to use CT images in standing position to accurately evaluate the state of the bone. We have developed a loading device that can be used for present CT device. We were able to mount approximately the same load as body weight. In addition, by comparing the images taken of the patient with a disease to those of the healthy through this method, we suggest that we are able to obtain information useful to discovering causes and pathologies to foot diseases.
