Abstract

A study was performed on the auditory search asymmetry between normal Japanese speech sounds and time-reversed speech sounds. The sounds were distributed on the frontal-horizontal plane. It was found that when a target speech sound existed, the search time for a normal Japanese speech sample was hardly affected by the number of distracting time-reversed speech samples.
