Abstract

Polarized Brillouin scattering measurements were performed for a bulk ZnO single crystal. The whole set of elastic stiffness constants was determined from the observed Brillouin shifts. The relationships between the photoelastic constants at 514.5 nm were also determined from the Brillouin scattering.
