Change of rigidity and fatigue life of RC beams without stirrups under repeated loading

Abstract

In this study, fatigue of RC beams is discussed through data of experiments of static tests, fatigue tests, and static tests after repeated load of RC beams. In repeated load, loading was carried out variously by changing the magnitude and frequency of loading, and the progress of cracking, the change in rigidity, and the change in residual shear strength under each condition were observed. Prediction equations for change of rigidity and fatigue life of RC beams without stirrups are proposed.
