Character-oriented image sensor communication system

Abstract

Visible Light Communication (VLC) based on LED and image sensors is a promising technology. A novel character-oriented Image Sensor Communication (ISC) system is introduced in this paper. Character-oriented protocol in ISC system is proposed. The method of modulation and demodulation is explained as well. Experiment of transmitting and receiving character data is accomplished and the result is given. Moreover, the paper also discusses the effects that different communication distances bring to the bit error rate.
