Compact and low power operation polymer MMI photonic switch

Abstract

We present a compact polymer-based photonic switch with low power operation of 9mW and a low switching crosstalk of -23dB. Additional designs have shown lower power consumption less than 4mW and crosstalk less than -40dB.
