Abstract

We developed a compact hybrid-integrated 100 Gbit/s TOSA using an EADFB laser array with a spot-size converter and a silica-based AWG multiplexer. Error-free operation for a 40-km transmission was demonstrated at an operating temperature of 55 °C.
