Abstract

The digital local switching system for INS provides various digital terminal equipment with enhanced services, as well as existing analog terminal equipment. New control facilities, such as digital subscriber line signal processing, full digital link connection for nontelephone terminals, access to various communication processing nodes and integration with the existing digital data network services, etc. are required. This paper describes the basic control techniques and the program structure for digital local switching system based on the INS (Information Network System) concept of NTT.
