Abstract

The authors regret that Fig. 4 not consistent with the caption, and thus should be replaced with its modified version. Correspondingly, the caption should be changed as follows:[Formula presented] Fig. 4.PAAS-normalized REY patterns of Fe–Mn nodules. The samples investigated show positive Ce and negative Y anomalies. Also shown are the averaged values (1σ) of shallow-sea Fe-Mn nodules (SSN) from the Kara Sea (Baturin, 2011) and Baltic Sea (Szefer et al., 1998), Freshwater nodules (FWN) from Lake Baikal (Baturin et al., 2011), and terrestrial nodules (TN) from China (Feng, 2010) for comparison. The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
