    Abstract

    For analysis in high temperature metallurgical processes involving gaseous species, a combination system of a transpiration reactor and mass spectrometry has been constructed. After obtaining the mass separation factor at nozzle-skimmer orifices, the vapor pressure has been measured. The vapor pressure obtained is in good agreement with literature values: Log (P//Z//n left bracket Pa right bracket ) equals minus 7. 47 multiplied by 10**3 multiplied by T** minus **1 plus 11. 40 (910 K less than T less than 1000 K).
