Abstract

Two types of precooler were manufactured to be integrated into ATREX engine and tested under the sea level static condition. In this report, the test results for the thermal and hydraulic characteristics of these precoolers are shown and compared with analytical predictions. The problem of non-uniformity of the air flow in the precooler was examined by numerical calculation.
