Diffuse scattering in YBa2Cu3-xCoxO7-y

Abstract

Electron diffraction patterns in YBa2Cu3-xCoxO7-y exhibit characteristic diffuse scattering consisting of four {100} sheets around a fundamental spot. Its intensity does not depend on temperature, but its location strongly depends on Co content. On the basis of the obtained results, it was suggested that the scattering would represent the correlation among microdomains by means of a static lattice distortion.
