Dynamic characteristics of the generator for absorption refrigerator (2nd report, falling film type generator)

Abstract

A falling film type heat exchanger is expected as the generator for the absorption refrigerator because of its capability to improve the speed of response and to drive the absorption refrigerator with lower temperature of the waste heat sources than the pool boiling type. In the latest research, we constructed the dynamic model of the pool boiling type generator and clarified the dynamic characteristics. This research aims to build the dynamic model of the falling film type generator for investigation of its dynamic characteristics in detail. First, dynamic model of the falling film type generator considering both heat and mass transfer is constructed. Then, the validity of this model is examined with the experiment of generator element installation. As a result, the validity was confirmed by the correspondence between the simulation results and experimental data.
