Dynamic switching characteristics of 1×4 InGaAsP/lnP multimode interference waveguide switch

Abstract

We prepare and experimentally demonstrate dynamic switching of 1×4 InGaAsP/lnP multimode interference (MMI) waveguide switch. The rise and fall times of 1.9 ns and 1.4 ns, respectively, are obtained and good crosstalk and extinction ratio of -14.47 dB and 23.39 dB, respectively, are obtained.
