Abstract

Electroless Co-Ni-Re-P film has been obtained from a chemical bath containing ammoniacal malonic acid, sodium tartrate, sodium-gluconic acid and sodium-tartronic acid. Perpendicular anisotropy magnetic films can be obtained from a bath at concentrations of tartronic acid of 0. 03 mol cm minus **3 or greater. Perpendicular anisotropic film can thus be produced without the addition of Mn.
