    Abstract

We investigate collective excitations of Bose-Einstein condensates in double-well traps. We numerically solve the Bogoliubov-de Gennes equations with a double-well trap and show that a crossover from the dipole mode to the Josephson plasma oscillation occurs in the lowest excitation. It is found that the anomalous tunneling property of the low energy excitations dominates the crossover.
