    Abstract

Presently, the construction of new transmission lines is very difficult by opposition from the inhabitant, and the investment for new equipment tends to be suppressed by the progress of power market deregulation. In addition, transient stability has become a problem under the deregulated environment. On the other hand, the use of a NAS battery system is effective in power system problems, because the NAS battery system has been improved by recent studies. Therefore, attention is now being paid to the use of the NAS battery system. In this paper, we propose an enhancement of transient stability ATC using the NAS battery systems. Additionally, we verify the effect of the proposed method on a 3 machine 9 bus system and the IEEJ EAST10 model.
