Abstract

The diffusion coefficients of peroxide, DH 2 O2 , and oxygen, DO 2 , were accidentally interchanged when calculating the data shown in Fig. 1. The correct values are DO 2 = 1.9 × 10−5 cm2 /s and DH 2 O2 = 1.3 × 10−5 cm2 /s. These values have been used to generate a new Fig. 1 as shown here, which is in qualitative agreement with those reported in the original paper and, as such, do not affect the conclusions drawn from the analysis provided therein. Note that Fig. 2 was obtained using the correct diffusion coefficients for the species in question and therefore was not compromised by the error noted. (Graph Presented).
