Abstract
A series of sheathed timber-framed walls finished with wood are designed and verified against fire resistance tests for the development of 1-hour Quasi-fire-proof construction suitable for large scale timber buildings. The results reveal feasibility of designs with noncombustible underlayer thinner than conventional rated designs and insignificance of seismic effect on the fire resistance of the tested designs.
