Abstract
The purposes of this study are to analyze streetscape of the commercial area of Kyung-Ju, a Korean provincial city, and to clarify its characteristics. On this paper, analysis of current streetscape and its history of formation was made. We have also clarified existence of sign-architecture, style of building that is the combination of buildings of Colonial age of Japan and signboard of commercialism symbol. Although there wereno specific plan of development at the research area, streetscape of human scale was formed.
