Hierarchical MCM routing using four-via routing

Abstract

A hierarchical routing approach for multichip modules (MCM) combined with the four-via routing method is proposed, and four kinds of methods are implemented. Furthermore, a cost-function to solve the track assignment problem is investigated. Experimental result shows that the proposed method approach is fairly good in the total routing-length.
