Abstract

An efficient mobile video delivery with a light-weight, smooth and quick-responsible accessibility to video scenes has been proposed. This can avoid a content access delay brought by mobile-network-specific delay and instability. As an additional extension for our previous proposal, we present an innovative efficient access scheme with a hierarchical pre-fetching asynchronous streaming technology considering video scene structure. This can provide an access to a general view through a whole content as well as a detail view around a playback position by considering video scene structure and user's viewing position. The implementation details on mobile phones are also described at the end of this paper.
