Abstract

We demonstrated high extinction ratio optical intensity switching by an integrated Mach-Zehnder LiNbO3 modulator, where each arm has a small Mach-Zehnder interferometer for compensation of amplitude mismatching in the arms. The extinction ratio was 50dB.
