    Abstract

    This paper describes a newly developed LSI DSP. It has a powerful multiplication capability which operates at a rate of 10M operation/s. Much efforts were paid to the improvement of data handling capability. Various internal data transfer modes are provided to increase a throughput. Ample memory capacity is provided by a 256 words internal RAM and a 1,024 words external RAM. A powerful I/O interface is designed which is suitable for multi-processor configuration. Some examples of the system configuration by using this LSI DSP are also described.
