High-Speed Characterization of Parallel Mach-Zehnder Optical Modulators

Abstract

Imperfections in parallel Mach-Zehnder optical modulators would degrade optical signal generation for advanced modulation formats. This paper presents a method to measure the parameters that describe such imperfections and experimentally demonstrates it using high-speed optical measurements.
