High-Temperature Continuous-Wave Operation of 1.3-\mu\text{m} Membrane Distributed Reflector Lasers on SiC

Abstract

We demonstrate continuous-wave operation of 1.3-\mu\text{m} membrane distributed reflector lasers on SiC at a 130^{\text{o}}\text{C} stage temperature. The laser, with its large thermal conductivity and optical confinement, is promising for high-temperature operation.
