Abstract

Hilbert filter for double-layer perpendicular recording media was presented. The Hilbert filter was constructed with a FIR filter with 7 taps whose tap gains were determined by Matlab. Results showed that the plot for the Hilbert filter response completely overlaps that of the differentiator.
