H structural controller design based on absolute acceleration measurement

    Abstract

    This paper discusses the H structural control system design procedure for a building structure on the basis of the measurement of the top floor absolute acceleration response. The discussion covers the design procedure from its basic concept to its details. The validity of the presented H controller design is experimentally demonstrated.
