Impact of inter-channel crosstalk in coherent PDM-OFDM long-haul transmission with high spectral efficiency

Abstract

The inter-channel crosstalk in high spectral efficient coherent PDM-OFDM transmission is experimentally studied. We confirm that the inter-channel nonlinear penalty is 0.1dB in 8x66.8-Gbit/s transmission over 640 km with up to 5.6bit/s/Hz spectral efficiency.
