Abstract

The in situ growth of superconducting MgB2 thin films was analyzed. The film was grown by molecular-beam epitaxy method. Few examined aspects of thin films include growth temperature, the effect of excess Mg and the effect of in situ annealing. The analysis showed that the presence of excess Mg is harmful for the superconducting properties of MgB2.
