    Abstract

    The Japanese Committee for the IOI (JCIOI) is a nonprofit organization and one of its purposes is promoting the interest of Japanese secondary school students in computer science as well as computer programming through various activities including Japanese Olympiad in Informatics. This article describes the process of selecting and training the Japanese IOI team and the key issues that faces JCIOI.
