Abstract

An integrated LiNbO3 (LN) single-sideband (SSB) modulator consisting of four phase modulators, an asymmetric cross junction, and a Mach-Zehnder (MZ) type optical gate was fabricated. Optical SSB modulation with the suppression of main carrier and J-1 subcarrier was demonstrated by a 10GHz single-tone signal.
