Local power flow based TCSC controller for large-scale power system

    Abstract

    A new Thyristor Controlled Series Capacitor (TCSC) control scheme realizing many number of TCSC in complex power systems is proposed. Simulation tests are conducted on 9-machine 38-bus system models with performance index, the damping improvement of the local controller is very close to the central controller. This means that the proposed method can provide ideal effort to power system stabilization.
