    Abstract

    A study was performed on the characteristics of magnetic force according to the variation of asymmetric overhang ratio in brushless direct current motor (BLDCM). The magnetic field was efficiently analyzed by three-dimensional equivalent magnetic circuit network (EMCN) method. Maxwell's stress tensor was used to calculate the torque and the magnetic forces.
