Abstract
The effect of various substitutions on the magnetoresistance (MR) of sintered BYCO are reanalyzed based on our recent study of superconducting fluctuation in a BYCO single crystal. This recent study revealed that there is no Zeeman effect on the Maki-Thompson fluctuation conductivity (MT-Zeeman) and its showed the necessity of using the clean limit approximation. The present substitution experiment shows that the clean limit theory neglecting the MT-Zeeman effect describes the results much more consistently than the dirty limit theory with the MT-Zeeman effect did. This analysis also showed that substitution cause MR other than that due to superconducting fluctuation.
