Abstract
Measurement of local void fraction in a horizontal 4 x 4 rod bundle using X-ray CT scanner is described. The X-ray CT scanner consists of an X-ray tube and detectors which linearly scans over two phase flow test section. Measurement was conducted in air/water flow at atmospheric pressure. It was shown that distribution of subchannel average void fraction obtained from local void fraction becomes homogeneous as flow quality or mass flux increases. The agreement between experimental cross sectional average void data and Zuber & Findlay correlation is relative good. (A)
