Abstract

Microporous inorganic-organic hybrid with high surface area and large pore volume has been synthesized from bromophenylethenyl-terminated double four-ring (D4R) siloxane cages as a single precursor. Unprecedentedly, the resulting hybrid possesses preferential long-range order and uniform micropore size distribution. In addition, D4R cages have been proven to be retained in the networks after the reaction.
