Abstract

Eight-channel 56-Gbit/s PAM-4 direct modulations are demonstrated using a 1.3-μm WDM transmitter, consisting of membrane lasers and a SiN AWG filter. Direct bonding, epitaxial regrowth, and low-temperature SiN deposition are employed for integration on Si.
