Multi-electron transfer process of vanadyl complexes for oxidative polymerization of diphenyl disulfide

    Abstract

    The aim of the present work is to demonstrate that a novel catalysis by vanadyl complexes can be applied to the synthesis of oligo(p-phenylene sulfide) (OPS) with S-S bond. In addition, an example which demonstrates the reversible multi-electron transfer is presented. In this example, the net reaction of the process is the transfer of two electrons.
