Abstract
To cope with the requirements of the Internet, a multiagent-based inter-autonomous system (AS) diagnostic system called ENCORE is proposed. In this system, a collection of intelligent agents are located in multiple ASs and perform collective observation and analysis. The agents autonomous observation actions and their ability to perform cooperative and efficient analysis of routing anomalies are detailed. Further, the effectiveness and limitations of ENCORE based on analysis of a real AS are discussed.
