Abstract

An arc-shaped member was developed to reduce wave forces and energy which acted on an offshore structure. This paper provides the results of nonlinear analyses by the finite element method (FEM). More detailed mechanical properties of the member are studied, and the applicability of FEM to the member is examined by comparing the analytical results and the experimental ones.
