    Abstract

We report new structure for constructing a optical resonator using high refractive index contrast grating and total reflection. In our design Si is used as grating which is placed on a dielectric block. The bottom of the block is used as a total reflection mirror. Temperature insensitivity can be incorporated in to the device by using polymer material for the dielectric block.
